Wine Tasting Stargazing

What is included (per head)

• 2 hours of Wine Tasting & Stargazing tour with an astronomer

• Sunset with breathtaking escarpment views across the Megalong Valley

• Substantial tasting of 7 current vintage wines served by passionate and knowledgeable staff

• Ploughman’s platter, including cheeses, cold meats, delicious accompaniments like pickles, olives and sundried tomatoe, all served with fresh locally made bread, grissini and flat bread. GF, vegan and vegetarian options available on request, please add in 'Special requirements'.

• Naked-eye astronomy, tips and hacks

• Constellation storytelling by the campfire

• Professional Telescope viewing

• Binocular viewing

• Q&A with an astronomer

• Falling stars if you are lucky!

Bottles available for purchase at the cellar door, please ask the Dryridge’s staff.

We require a minimum of 10 participants in order to run the tour, to hire our astronomer, the sommelier and privatise the winery. You will be able to reschedule, or we will offer a refund (2.5% non-refundable merchant fees) if we don’t reach 10 participants, 7 days before the start of the tour.

The drive takes approximately 20 mins from Blackheath through the beautiful rainforest in the Glen and down to the valley floor. Follow the signs along the road and turn right off the Megalong Valley Road at the Six Foot Track onto Aspinall Road.

Transport

Cancellation Policy

Please contact us at least 24 hours before the event to cancel or postpone your booking. Our tours are non-refundable.

In the event of cancellation due to bad weather, we will notify you by email at 2pm on the day of the tour and we will issue credits valid for 3 years so you can re-book another Wine Tasting Stargazing tour held once a month.

Alternatively, you can join our Signature Stargazing tour held at Wentworth Falls open every night (90 min tour with complimentary hot chocolate, fabulous views of the Jamison Valley and sound of the waterfalls). We will refund the wine tasting and food portion ($40pp). The credit is also valid for a stargazing in Jervis Bay on the beach.

Kindly be aware that in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, our tours are not eligible for refunds in the event of cancellation due to overcast skies. We strongly encourage you to book last minute to check the latest weather forecast or contact us prior to booking so we can check the weather together, if you do not want to receive a credit.
